Oracle ACE Director Richard Olrichs is from the Netherlands, working with Java since 2002 and Oracle Fusion Middleware Technology since 2007. Over the years he developed himself to become an all round senior Fusion Middleware Developer with an interest in the Cloud. Richard runs a blog to share ideas, thoughts and findings about Oracle Fusion Middleware & the Oracle Cloud with the rest of the community.

Richard is the initiator of several open source projects concerning ADF, ran under the flag of the ADF EMG. The ‘ADF EMG XML DataControl’ for both JDeveloper ADF 11g and JDeveloper ADF 12c, an ADF EMG Audit Rules extension for both JDeveloper11g and JDeveloper12c and a Sonar plugin to run the analyses on Sonar. He also helps out with the open source project Selenium Tools which makes it easier to run JUnit tests in combination with Selenium against ADF applications.

He has been a speaker at several events & companies in the Netherlands (nlOUG, MN, AMIS, The Future Group). He spoke on Tech13, Tech14 & Tech15 by the UKOUG in Manchester, Liverpool & Birmingham as well as Oracle Open World 2014, 2015 & 2017 in San Francisco. Richard has been part of the APAC tour 2017 traveling to Wellington, Auckland & Sydney to present about the Oracle Platform as a Service offerings.
Richard has an enormous drive in obtaining new technologies and spends his time inside as well as outside the office to improve his knowledge of and skills in the Oracle Portfolio.

Within the Dutch Community Richard is actively involved in the nlOUG, helping to run several Special Interest Groups and meetups. He is a board member since 2015 and is part of the organisation of the annual Tech Experience event.
